Today I'm working on clearing up some of my back-log of product purchases. I've rounded up some of my beauty purchases from November and December to share. These items are holiday releases, so availability in their current form is extremely limited. All of these items were purchased in separate visits. As you're about to see, it looks like I was in a major blush mood.
First up is a holiday set from Too Faced, the Melted Kisses & Sweet Cheeks set:
Melted Fig with Your Love is King Sweet Cheeks
Melted Peony with Justify My Love Sweet Cheeks
Melted Nude with Love Hangover Sweet Cheeks
I already had Melted Peony and Melted Nude from the 2014 Melted Kisses set so now I have a backup of each. In reviewing my photos, I noticed that I utilized a 20% off coupon on this set, so I got about $7 off. I will be doing a separate post on this set since these are all permanent shades.
Next, I finally found one lonely set of the Tarte How Sweet It Is Deluxe Lip & Cheek Set:
Sweet Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush
Sweet LipSurgence Lip Tint
Zoya Satin polish in Sage (on clearance!)
I had seen the How Sweet It Is Deluxe Lip & Cheek Set on Instagram ages ago (I'm thinking August/September maybe), but never saw it in store until towards the end of October. As soon as I spied it, I snatched it up since I really enjoy Tarte blushes. Looking back at my photos, it appears I redeemed some Ulta points and paid about half price. Since this color is no longer available, I went ahead and popped in some quick swatches just for reference. Also included in this little box set was a foil packet of the Maracuja Oil.
Next up is yet more Tarte blushes in the way of the Tarte At First Blush Deluxe Set from the 2015 Holidaze collection. Somehow, I neglected to get a good picture of the front of the packaging, but I did get a shot of Tarte's descriptions of the blush colors. Also, as with the Sweet blush, these shades are limited edition so I've included swatches for reference.
swatches top row: Epic, Entertain
swatches bottom: Ecstatic, Embellish
I'm really looking forward to playing more with all my new blushes. I kind of got hooked on a particular shade from Too Faced (you'll have to wait for the separate review to find out which one) so it's time to start playing with all of my Tarte blushes now. I'm getting quite the collection of Tarte blushes - I might have to do a post just showing all of them plus swatches at some point.
Do you find yourself drawn to one particular category of makeup? Or are you an equal opportunity collector of makeup? Did you purchase any of the products I did?
