Pure Ice Sparkling Seas - Playing with the Sheers

Hi!
**purchased

Back in June I came across a limited edition collection from Pure Ice - the Sparkling Seas collection.  Inside of this massive collection, there was 3 new sheer/jelly glitter polishes that I grabbed as soon as my eyes saw them.  In this fairly untouched/un-mauled display, they were in the top row.
The other day, I still saw the same display in a different Walmart but it's been well-picked over by now.  But since I had taken the time to play with these some, I wanted to share.
Pure Ice Sea Glass, Sparkling Seas, Mer-Magical

Swatches of Sea Glass, Sparking Seas, Mer-Magical.  3 coats of each on the wheel.
These are all sheer jelly polishes nicely filled with iridescent glitters.  There's a slight difference in what colors the glitters flash...hopefully they don't all look the same over a dark base.  These will be good to add a subtle sparkle to matching creme polishes for a more "tame" accent.  I do recommend letting these either dry or nearly dry between coats as things got a bit gooey if I rushed the layers on the wheel.

Play time!  I have a base of 3 coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White.

2 coats each of Sea Glass, Sparkling Seas and Mer-Magical.  On my index, I free-handed 2 coats of Sparkling Seas diagonally over half my nail.  After that had set for a bit, I filled in the rest of the nail with 2 coats of Sea Glass.  That nail could have been done using tape, I just never go there as I'm fairly steady-handed (thank you years of painting tiny details on ceramics as a teen).

I'm not sure how easy this Walmart-exclusive brand's collection will be to find at this point, but you might get lucky or know of a polish from another brand that is similar.

What do you think of these sheers from the Pure Ice Sparkling Seas collection?  Do you use tape in your manis?  Or do you just free-hand?  What's your favorite opaque white polish?
