Spotted, Hauled & Swatched - Wet 'n Wild The Style Award Goes To...Polishes

**all items purchased by me

When I first started hunting for the Wet 'n Wild The Style Award Goes To... collection, I hit up all the drugstores (Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS, even Discount Drugmart) with no luck.  But towards the end of February when I was out, I decided to check out the further away- and cleaner - KMart since I had seen previous limited edition collections there.  And I ended up finding them!  An almost untouched display except for a couple polishes.  So I promptly grabbed up one of everything, then went browsing some more.  The other items I picked up will eventually make it into their own haul post, and the other part of the Wet 'n Wild collection will be coming in a day or 2 (as soon as the last of the kitty scratches heals back to smooth skin).  I purchased my collection from KMart, but since then I've seen it at Walgreens.

To start things off, as usual a display shot:
Haul picture:
Elegance, Silver Lining, Sophisticated Lady, Candid Affair, Valet Tag, Champagne Toast

Label/bottle shots:

Swatches, both on the wheel and on my fingers (yay for my pinkie nail being grown out!):
Elegance, Silver Lining, Sophisticated Lady, Candid Affair, Valet Tag, Champagne Toast
Candid Affair and Valet Tag are 2 coats on the wheel, the rest are 3
top: pinkie & ring fingers - Candid Affair, 2 coats; middle & index fingers - Valet Tag, 2 coats
bottom (left to right): Champagne Toast, Sophisticated Lady, Silver Lining, Elegance
Silver Lining has 3 coats on my nail, the rest are 2 coats very, very carefully applied to minimize wonky brush-strokes in the pearl/frost finish.  These 4 are finished off with a layer of topcoat.  In order of most to least frosty of the frosty part of the collection, Elegance is the most, followed by Sophisticated Lady then Champagne Toast.

My picks for best looking and easiest to apply polishes are Valet Tag, Candid Affair and Silver Lining.  With 3 coats Silver Lining builds up to be mostly opaque, but one coat can also be layered over other colors.  The other 3 polishes all require a lot of care during application to get the pearl/frost lines going straight down the nail.

Are you planning on picking up any from this collection?  Or does the pearl/frost finish scare you away?
