Fig met Facets of Fuchsia/Scandalous

I literally didn't get a chance to sit down in front of the computer until 11:15 this evening.  My original plan was a Spotted, Hauled & Swatched post but I didn't get a chance to take the pictures so that means today is a nail post!

This post is another one of those that should have been up a long time ago since this is actually what I settled on for my birthday nails...way back in December.  Oh well, that's how it goes.

Anyway, this is 2 coats of Sinful Colors Fig over Orly Bonder.  I probably used a layer of China Glaze Fast Forward to speed things up.  Based on the pictures sitting in my folder, I was a bit out of sorts for pictures with this mani - I forgot to take the bottle/hand pictures before I added the next polish...and forgot to take a picture of the finished mani without the second bottle.
Sinful Colors Fig is a nice reddish purple with some pinkish-purple shimmer to give this a little more interest than just a plain creme.  This applied pretty nicely in just 2 coats for an even finish.  This was in the core line of polishes, but I believe I read recently that the lineup has been updated recently at Walgreens.  Hopefully it's still available.
Then I added a nice coat of Revlon Facets of Fuchsia on my thumbs and ring fingers.  I don't believe I used any top coat at this stage.  This polish was later introduced to the core line of polishes under the name Scandalous.  This polish is actually a dupe for Deborah Lippmann Bad Romance (yay for inexpensive dupes!)
Revlon Facets of Fuchsia/Scandalous is what I would describe as a nice black jelly base filled with fuchsia pink-purple hex glitters in a couple of sizes.  The base isn't so pigmented as to completely hide the glitters; it just lets them show the ideal amount for a nice interesting, but not in-your-face, look.  I'm sorry that I took so long to wear this as I've had it in my collection for quite some time.
I think that Scandalous (core line name) has safely made it past the Spring line change-up for Revlon.

Now I need to go get the clothes out of the dryer, dry my hair, paint my nails, iron the Mister's shirt.... seems like I've got quite a bit to do yet tonight.

Did you get Facets of Fuchsia when it was in it's limited edition slot? maybe when it came out under it's new name?  What else would you pair Facets of Fuchsia with?
