Time to do another Spotted, Hauled & Swatched post! I recently saw a press release on a couple other blogger's pages about the new, limited edition collection from Salon Perfect. The collection has both nail polish and false lashes. I went to Walmart shortly after that and found it on my first try. There's 7 polishes total, I only bought 3 (restraint!!), and 5 sets of lashes, of which I passed on since I rarely (like, never) wear falsies. Everything in the collection is just under $4. The finish of 2 of the glitters is just like the ones from last summer's Neon Collision collection. I'm fairly certain that the remaining 4 polishes that I left at the store are dupes of shades in China Glaze's collection (either prior limited edition colors or maybe core colors) so if I had an idea of what the shades were dupes of, I put that.
First up, the display picture along with the 4 polishes I did not purchase:
Cosmic Black (looks to be a dupe of China Glaze Glitz 'n Pieces)
He's with Me (looks similar to Sally Hansen Red Carpet, China Glaze Ruby Pumps)
It's Love (looks similar to Revlon Bubble - I'm sure there's a China Glaze equivalent but I've no idea which one)
One Love (looks similar to China Glaze Make A Spectacle)
Now for the haul picture, followed by bottle and label shots, of the ones I did purchase:
Loves Me, Loves Me Not; Hearts A Flutter; Touchy Feely
Swatch time! I did something a little different with today's post. I've got swatches both plain on the nail wheel and on my nails too!
Loves Me, Loves Me Not; Touchy Feely; Hearts A Flutter
~one coat each, with the hearts being fished out~
~the pink base color is Sinful Colors Sugar N Spice; the gray is Sinful Colors Tantalize~
- Pinkie and index fingers are one coat Touchy Feely - black and white glitters in clear base
- Ring finger is one coat Hearts A Flutter - metallic magenta pink glitter and gold hearts in clear base. The hearts have to be fished out
- Middle finger is 1 coat Loves Me, Loves Me Not - super pale pink and black glitters in clear base
I'd say that my favorite is probably Hearts A Flutter. Even without the heart glitters, it's a super pretty metallic glitter that has a nice even application. 2 looks in one polish! I wish that the pink of Loves Me was a bit of a stronger pink; it looks almost white. At least the amount of black glitter in it is less than in Touchy Feely. The clear base of Touchy Feely does dry with more shine than Loves Me. None of them dry with much of a texture or chunky glitter feel (other than where the heart lays).
Have you spotted this new Salon Perfect collection at Walmart yet? Plan on getting any if you do come across it? What base colors would you pair these glitters with?
