Winter Holly with Which is Witch?

Hi!

I always forget how busy December seems to be, and this year is no different.  Time is quickly running away from me and I've yet to finish posting my ABC polish challenge (no, I didn't forget).  So I figured today I'll get my next letter posted - I am planning on getting all of the letters posted by the end of the year, as well as a wrap-up.
I started off with a ridge-filling base coat, as usual, then applied 2 coats of Wet 'n Wild Morbid from the discontinued Craze line (no picture by itself).  Once that dried, I applied a glitter gradient from the cuticles using China Glaze Winter Holly and sealed it all in with China Glaze Fast Forward.
China Glaze Winter Holly is from the 2012 Holiday Joy collection.  It's a pretty emerald green micro glitter with some holo glitter thrown in for some extra interest, all in a clear base.  This worked pretty well as a gradient glitter, it just didn't show up as well as I had hoped for over the dark blue-black base.  I'll have to try this pretty out over a lighter green perhaps.

Since this didn't show up quite as contrasted as I had hoped for, so the next day I added some more to it in the way of OPI Which is Witch?, also applied as a gradient.  I don't remember putting on any more top coat.
OPI Which is Witch? is from the Oz the Great and Powerful collection that came out in early 2013 (might have been considered a spring release).  It's comprised of tiny silver holo bar glitters and 2 sizes of hex glitters as well as the same color of glitter dust.  Completely gorgeous, can't believe I almost passed on picking this one up.  Definitely glad I changed my mind.  This one also worked perfectly for applying as a gradient.  This is one of those distracting-while-driving polishes, which I can't seem to get enough of in my collection.
Now that I'm looking at my pictures of Which is Witch? again, I'm wanting to wear it again since it looks kind of wintery - which would match the weather we've been having lately.

Ever have a mani concept in your mind that just didn't quite work out?  How'd you fix it?

    1. I normally use Bridge the Ridge available at Sally's Beauty Supply. I'm halfway through my second bottle. :-)
