UrgentRx Relief To-Go - Influenster Product Review

Yep, time to review another product I received in my last Influenster VoxBox.  This time the topic is the UrgentRx Fast Powders Ache & Pain Relief To-Go.  It's lemon-lime flavored.
It took me a while to get to testing this since most of the time I just try to ignore aches and pains (I always worry about building up an immunity to pain relievers, which I have done in the past).  Add to that the fact that most times when aches come up it's getting close to time to go to took me a while to put this powder to the test since it does contain caffeine, which I try to avoid close to bedtime.  I would have to say that if you are very sensitive to rapid sugar influx, use caution with this product.  Looking at the ingredients, it contains both glucose and sucralose (it does say to ask a doctor before use if you are taking a prescription drug for diabetes [as well as other conditions]).  It's been a while since I've in-depth read the packaging on a pain-reliever, but it seems like this has more cautionary statements.  I did notice after using this that I got a bit of a post-sugar overload hunger pang.

As for using this, it felt like I was dumping an old-fashioned pixie stick in my mouth...I didn't care for those growing up, so this wasn't that great.  I was able to get it all down without the use of water, but I didn't care for the taste - way too artificial for me.  Fortunately, the taste doesn't linger long - just a minute or 2.  I think it would be nice if each of the 6 remedies came in multiple flavors, since I'm wondering if the raspberry flavor of the Allergy Attack would taste any better...or the mixed berry flavor for Heart Burn.

Did it relieve my pain?  And if so, how quickly?  I was having some knee pain so I finally ripped open the little packet (didn't need scissors to get into it) and tested it out.  Yes, it did relieve my pain.  It was actually pretty quick, too.  I didn't notice a sudden "poof" the pain's gone...more like it tapered off into nothingness less than a half hour after downing the powder.  Now this wasn't a really bad pain, just some achy joint discomfort (probably brought on by yet another weather change) so I'm not sure how it works on major pains or headaches.

Here's a list of all the remedies (and their respective flavors): Headache (lemon-lime), Heartburn (mixed berry), Allergy Attack (raspberry), Upset Stomach (cherry), Ache & Pain (lemon-lime) and Critical Care Aspirin (lemon-lime).

If and when a nagging injury or sore back starts acting up, you can knock it out with a fast-dissolving dose of UrgentRx Ache & Pain Relief to Go™. It's got a dose of aspirin to reduce inflammation and pain. And a shot of caffeine to help you and that aspirin get to work fast.
With UrgentRx® Fast Powders™ have no fear of a stress headache on the job.  A dodgy lunch off the food truck.  Payback for one too many jalapeno poppers.  That “Holy crap, what was that?” lower back tweak.  Going mano-a-mano with the yard in allergy season.  No Water.  No Waiting.  Just Right Now Relief.™
So, did I like this enough to purchase?  As much as I didn't care for how artificial it tasted, I think that I might get a box of Ache & Pain and keep one or 2 packets in my purse for true "can't take this pain anymore" situations.  I can see this working for both headaches and other random pains that come up while out.  I don't know about you, but when I get random aches, I lose energy pretty quickly so I think that it's good that the caffeine is included in this variety.

I have yet to see these at any store that I go to, but I'm probably just not looking in the correct spot.  If you know what store/what section, do let me know.  To visit UrgentRx's site, click here.
