Spotted, Hauled & Swatched - OPI Couture de Minnie Collection

**all items purchased by me

Today I've got a Spotted, Hauled & Swatched post to share that I'm very excited about!  The newest OPI collection - Couture de Minnie!!  I knew from the moment I first saw blog posts about it that the whole collection was going to be mine, whether I was able to find it in the beauty supply store or not.  Luckily, I found it in person so I didn't have to pay for shipping like I did when last year's Minnie collection came out (which was before I ever stepped foot into that store).  The collection officially releases in June, but I was in the store earlier this week and asked about it.  The owner said it was possible that he would be receiving it early...and then a couple days later it was posted on the store's Facebook page that it would be available today.

I'm not comfortable taking pictures inside the supply store of the new displays (they're always put next to the register), but I like to have a picture of the display as much as possible so...

And now for all my new Minnie pretties' bottle shots:
Magazine Cover Mouse (liquid sand), Minnie Style,
Innie Minnie Mightie Bow, A Definite Moust Have, Chic from Ears to Tail
The left bottle shot of A Definite Moust-Have is making it look much more of a hot-pink than real life, where it's more of a coral-pink (the label shot and swatches below are more accurate)

And lastly, the swatches.  We've got some 1-coaters in this collection!!
Chic from Ears to Tail, A Definite Moust-Have, Innie Minnie Mightie Bow,
Minnie Style, Magazine Cover Mouse
~Chic from Ears to Tail is 2 coats
~A Definite Moust-Have is 1 coat
~Innie Minnie Mightie Bow is 1 coat
~Minnie Style is 2 coats (didn't have to go "fishing" for the white squares)
~Magazine Cover Mouse is 2 coats (liquid sand finish)

The collection is very limited - only 3 each of the glitter and liquid sand, 2 each of the others.  There is also a mini-bottle collection available with 4 shades (no glitter, but the liquid sand is there).

Chic from Ears to Tail was a tad fussy to swatch on the wheel, but not really problematic.  There's also a pretty subtle/hidden shimmer in it.  A Definite Moust-Have and Innie Minnie Mightie Bow also have hidden shimmer - there are no true creme polishes in the collection.

After the "square glitter issue" of Lights of Emerald City from the Oz collection where most squares had little sticks, I'd say the ones in Minnie Style are much closer to being true squares this time.  Also in Minnie Style besides the white matte square glitters are small matte white hex glitters as well as small shiny magenta pink hex glitters.   I'm loving that OPI is releasing all these unique-for-mainstream brand glitter polishes!

I'd say that Magazine Cover Mouse looks like it could be similar to Julie G Gumdrops in Hot Cinnamon.  I'll have to compare them closer, but as of right now I'm going to go ahead and declare Magazine Cover Mouse as "my version of" Julie G Hot Cinnamon.  I have both and I'm fine with that.

I'm in love with this whole collection, especially after swatching them!  And they'll go perfectly in the drawer next to the Minnie collection from last June.  Wouldn't it be neat if I could get my hands on the empty counter display (either the new one or last year's) to put both collections in?

Are you planning on picking up any of the new Minnie shades?  If you are, act quickly since the collection is so limited in production.  Is there any that you would like to see on the nail soon?  Let me know!!
