Project "Finish This Stuff," Part 19 - April 2013

Hi!

**all items purchased by me

Another month has come and gone and I'm here with some more things that I managed to finish.  I feel like I say this every month, but I wish I would have finished more.  As always, I've included mini reviews of each thing - if I had time to make an opinion of it, that is.
Clean & Clear Steam Soft In-Shower Facial - I got this from Big Lots quite a while ago.  I like being able to apply this while doing other things in the shower since you leave it on for a minute or 2 before rubbing it around.  I do have to be careful to not push too hard when massaging it around or else my skin ends up looking irritated for a while.  It does soften my skin, but I'm not sure about the detoxifying abilities.  I did like it enough to purchase a few backups of it, but I do believe this is discontinued.
Aveeno Continuous Protection sunblock Lotion Face SPF 30 - This was nice.  I never got burnt while using this.  It was easy to apply, let sink in for a minute or 2 then apply makeup right over.  I did not experience any stinging from irritation (like I did with the last of the Neutrogena I used to love).  The product was a little hard to get out of the tube once it got down pretty far, but nothing too bad.  I might repurchase for summer use since it is water resistant, which could be good for being outside working in the yard or playing in the pool when that goes up again.  Otherwise, I prefer something that can also help control oiliness.
Wet 'n Wild Fresh Face Skincare Gentle Cream Cleanser - this cleanser got forgotten about in a travel case for a while.  There wasn't anything special about it.  This isn't made anymore.
Neosporin Lip Health Overnight Renewal Therapy - For my lips, it was horrible.  It left a coating on my lips, but I didn't notice any moisture or "health" improvements.  In fact, this might have made my chapped lip worse.  In order to use the little pot up, I actually used it on my heels and the balls of my feet after showers.  It worked better for that, but I mainly used it that way just to use up the product.  Won't repurchase.
Bath & Body Works body lotion in Sunkissed Leaves - Yay! it's done!  This lotion does moisturize fairly well, but I have to say, I do not like this scent at all.  I actually found this scent to be irritating to my eyes.  Each time I would put it on my legs, I would immediately have to wash my hands to try to get rid of the scent, otherwise I would be teary eyed just from my hands being close.  This is actually part of a sub-challenge of working my way through all the travel size lotions this year.  Won't repurchase.
Secret Invisible Solid Antiperspirant/Deodorant - I've mentioned this before, but this brand is all I can use (or choose to use after I had an allergic reaction to others when I was a teen).  I always have backups of this - always in a "light" scent.  Will repurchase - again and again.
GenTeal Gel Drops Lubricant Eye Drops - sample that came in my Lasik kit a few years ago.  You could say I paid for this indirectly through the cost of the procedure.  This just got too old to use since I normally don't have dry eyes.  I did purchase the Walmart version of this as a replacement to help with occasional irritation.
Hair clip - it broke and I wasn't even using it at the time.  I have a few sturdier metal ones in this shape and I also have a set of Croc Clips.  Won't repurchase this style.
Styli-Style Line & Seal 24 hr. pencil  in Black Velvet - I finally got through enough of this that I was ready to get rid of it.  Applying it was not pleasant - it pulled and tugged.  The color wasn't a true black.  It wasn't waterproof at all.  The product has been loose in the pencil from the start.  Won't repurchase - this or probably anything from the brand.
Wet 'n Wild Mega Eyes Defining Marker in 869 - wasn't able to use this.  I believe it had come in a kit/set of some sort a while ago and when I opened it, it was dried out.  I'd say I prefer gel or gel-like pencils (Physicians' Formula) over the marker style - or maybe I just haven't come across a good marker style.  Won't repurchase.
E.L.F. Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in black - wasn't able to use this.  Also came in a kit/set a while ago and when I opened it, it was dried out.  I actually tried using both this and the Wet 'n Wild in the same day.  This is not the first product from E.L.F. that was dried out when I opened it.  Won't repurchase.

That's it for what I used up and didn't get to use since it was either old or already dried out.  A definite mix of things that I will repurchase, might repurchase,  won't repurchase and discontinued products.

What kind of liner do you prefer - liquid with brush, liquid with marker, gel, pencil...?  Recommendations?  Have you finished anything lately?
