Miscellaneous Monday - DIY Neon Pink and Black Necklaces

**all items purchased by me

Time for another Miscellaneous Monday post featuring, surprise surprise, a couple more DIY necklaces.  These are ones that I made in either the end of March or beginning of April.  And they are both very simple.

First up is a first of it's kind in my collection - neon!
This is just a simple pendant that incorporates neon pink and metallic silver thread in the middle of the silver diamond/kite shape on a simple chain with an oversized jump ring at the end.  The pendant was scavenged - i.e. broken/mismatched earrings - that I decided would make a nice necklace.  So nice to give new life to things.  I forget which store I got the chain from...

And for the black enamel piece:
I think I got this pendant from Walmart (on clearance, of course) and just attached it to a simple length of chain from the $1 section of Walmart's jewelry-making aisle.  I put an oversized oval jump ring at the end.

I noticed in my particular "style," if I don't put a decorative/beaded attachment to the end of necklace chains, I'll put a jump ring that is large enough that the pendant won't be able to come off if you accidentally drop one end while it's open.  I absolutely hate it when pendants slide off so I've made it so it is very unlikely to happen with ones I've made.

Now I need to go get re-inspired to make some new things!

Do you have any neon accessories?
