Miscellaneous Monday - DIY Bracelet and Earrings

**all items purchased by me

It's time for another installment of Miscellaneous Monday.  Today's topic is DIY accessories in the way of a bracelet and a pair of earrings.  These definitely don't go together, but there are times when I sit down to make things with no plan to make sets - I just use whatever speaks to me that time.  This was one of those times.

First up is a simple beaded stretch bracelet.  The hardest part was figuring out the layout of the bead pattern.
I think I bought these beads from Big Lots in a set of some sort last year.

And for the earrings.  Red is a color of accessory that I don't have a whole lot of and I do have a few red tops, both for cool weather and summer time so I wanted to add some more red options to the accessory area.
All I needed was 8 beads total (2 sizes), some black findings and the black form (which I believe I purchased from Walmart).  I bought the beads from a local craft store.

And that's it for the mismatched DIY accessories for today.  I think one more post and I'll be caught up with what I made during the fall and early winter then it will be on to more recent projects.  I did manage to start and finish some necklaces and a pair of earrings sometime last month, so those will be making their appearance in the coming weeks.

I feel like as far as April is going, I've spent all my time sorting through and seeing what I can clear out of various areas of the house either to give away or just throw away, so that's really been eating into my crafting time.

Anyone else horrible at balancing your time between all the various things going on at the same time?  Any suggestions on how to store lots and lots of "fish-hook" earrings?  I've got so many I'm not sure how to arrange them and see each pair...

  1. :) I use the front panels of our bar cabinet, which is on our staircase landing. It turns my earrings into an art piece, more or less.

    1. That's a great idea! I do have a large frame already missing the glass down in storage that could work...
