Valentine's Day Nails!

Hi!

Hope everyone has had a wonderful Valentine's Day!  Mine had a rough start (felt horrible), but I'm doing/feeling much better now.  I even put on a touch of makeup, even though the only place I went was to wait in the car for the Mister to run into the restaurant to pick up our to-go order for a late dinner.

So yesterday I showed a Valentine nail look, but I've got something else on right now.  I came up with a very pretty and sparkly mani.  I'm so happy with it since I've been struggling to find the best polish to wear under this particular glitter ever since I got it.  There's a few more pictures than usual so enjoy the extra sparkles!

For what's on my nails right now, I started with Bridge the Ridge (surprised?) and then put 3 coats of Nicole by OPI One Big Happy Fame-ily - I did 2 coats, waited a while then put the 3rd and waited quite a while again before proceeding.  No top coat used here.
I gave my description of One Big Happy Fame-ily on this post here.

Then I added a coat of OPI Pink Yet Lavender from the 2013 Mariah Carey collection.  After taking pictures, I did put on a coat of Out the Door top coat - no issues so far with it so I might need to get a bigger bottle of this to wear with all my OPIs (I've just got a mini right now).
Bottom left picture is a macro shot - the hex glitters on the sides are showing up correctly colored.
Pink Yet Lavender has a clear base (nice consistency to it) that has light pink hex glitters with little holographic micro glitters.  This is the glitter that I've been struggling with trying to figure out what to put under.  I knew I wanted a purple (trying to play off the name), but kept trying darker ones and not liking it.  Pastel it is!  Now if only more of the pink hexes would actually show up pink in the pictures...
Just look at all those rainbow-holo colored sparkles! Love!

Did you have a nice Valentines' Day?  Or are you waiting for the weekend to celebrate?  What did you have on your nails?
