Valentine Colored Nails

Can you believe tomorrow's Valentine's Day already?  Time is really flying.  In case you are in need of a little nail inspiration, I thought I'd share this nail look that I came up with over the weekend.  So let's see what I came up with!  Hint - I used both tape and a dotting tool!

Over Bridge the Ridge base coat, I did 2 coats of OPI If You Moust, You Moust.  I topped this with China Glaze Fast Forward top coat:
Looks almost neon on me, doesn't it?

Then I put (or tried to put since I had put some cuticle oil on after doing the pink) pieces of tape diagonally across my nails and added 2 coats of OPI The Color of Minnie, and again topped with Fast Forward:
Some of my lines are a little funky since the tape wasn't sticking so it was half free-handed. :-p

That was it for that night, but I wasn't done with what I wanted (I got too sleepy to finish).  So the next day, I came back and added dots using If You Moust, You Moust on top of The Color of Minnie:
And finished off putting dots using The Color of Minnie on top of If You Moust, You Moust:
I thought about adding a line of glitter where the pink and red meet, but I left it as is.

I put Fast Forward a while later...and later that night the corners all started to lift so I'm thinking, at least on me, China Glaze Fast Forward doesn't get along with OPI polishes...

Both polishes are limited edition from OPI's Minnie collection that came out last June - you might still be able to find them online.  Or, you could just use a pretty pink and a pretty red. :-)

How are you doing your nails for Valentine's Day?
