Miscellaneous Monday...DIY Black & White Jewelry

Time for another Miscellaneous Monday post, which means more jewelry I've made.  While both items are dominated by black, these are definitely not a set.

So first up is a necklace.  The silver chain actually came the way that it's pictured, so it left me stumped for quite a while trying to think of what I wanted to put on it.  I ended up using a few black "spaghetti" beads - silly name - and some glass heart beads that have some interest (seed beads were also used to keep the hearts on the silver head pins).

And I have a pair of earrings.  I didn't really have a plan when I started these - I just knew I wanted to use some more of those pretty blue sandstone beads with a little accent of pink using 2 pink pearl seed beads and some pale clear-pink bicones, all on black findings.  I ended up with a type of clustered-chandelier earring.
:-( the pretty sparkles in the sandstone aren't showing up...

What do you think of these pieces?  Anything you would have done differently?
