Claire's Candy Shop Nails

On Sunday I shared my stash of Claire's polishes, and a lovely reader requested to see Candy Shop on my nails, so here it is (stubby nail and all)!

I used my normal base coat of Bridge the Ridge, then put 2 coats (the second was a little thicker) of Claire's Candy Shop.  I did not use top coat.
There are 2 sizes of hex glitter suspended in a sheer pink base (some might classify it as a milky pink).  It has lots colors of glitter: magenta pink, orange, yellow, green, light blue and silver.  This could probably be made completely opaque with 3 coats (2 is pictured), but I think I prefer it layered over another polish.  It does dry with some bumpiness from all the glitter pieces, but top coat would take care of it.  It does dry pretty quickly with no assistance from a quick dry top coat.

I couldn't resist a macro shot of all the glitters!
At 2 coats, you can see visible nail line.

And here's an older picture of Candy Shop layered:
This is one coat of Candy Shop over Sinful Colors Flutter

Do you like Candy Shop?  Do you prefer it by itself or layered?

  1. Thats cute. I like the way you applied it

  2. You know what I have a Revlon polish that looks just like your nails. I dont have to add color or glitter. Its combined but when I apply it...it looks just like ur nails

    1. You've got me curious as to what the name of the Revlon polish is!
