In an on-going effort to pare down some, I was going through my polish stash and found two different sets of look-a-likes...so I thought I would de-stash by doing an installment of the "my version of..."
First comparison is between Nicole by OPI One Big Happy Fame-ily (please don't mind that it's from the Kardashian line - it's just so pretty I had to have it). The polish that's getting compared to it is from Forever 21 (Love & Beauty) Lavender.
Each nail has the same number of coats - 3 - and both needed all 3, no top coat
ring is Nicole by OPI One Big Happy Fame-ily
pinky is Forever 21 (Love & Beauty) Lavender
Both have the same noticeable shimmer that looks like it's silver, pink, and sky blue going through the pretty lilac color. They both dry to a nice shine fairly quickly. As much as I love this color, I don't need both so one of these bottles will be leaving my stash. I like the brush on the Nicole by OPI better, so the Forever 21 will be leaving.
Each nail has one coat, plus a little extra hex glitters dabbed on - both brands applied the same
pinky is Lavender with 1 "coat" of NYC Starry Silver Glitter
ring is One big Happy Fame-ily with 1 "coat" of Sally Hansen Ice Queen
middle is one coat of Wet 'n Wild Craze in Nocturnal with 1 "coat" of Starry Silver Glitter
index is also Nocturnal with 1 "coat" of Ice Queen
Both are comprised of a clear base with tiny little silver and holographic glitters mixed with lilac purple and bright blue hex glitters. Both needed a little "guidance" to get a good distribution of the hex glitters, but the tiny little glitters were easy to get onto the nail. Once again, one of these bottles will be leaving my stash. I think I'm going to let the Sally Hansen one go...the NYC fights me just a little less (plus my drawer of Sally Hansen bottles is pretty much packed).
