A Couple More Skincare Goodies!

Hi!

I ended up not getting a post up yesterday since I was so cold all I wanted to do was huddle under the blankets.  Oops... So today I'm going to share the 2 most recent skincare "investments."  I got both of these last Friday and have had time to use them some so I put in a couple of little mini review/first impressions.

I decided that I really wanted to get a new face mask, and while I really like/love the Origins sample I got from Sephora last month, I have yet to make the trip back up there...and that one costs around $23...then I remembered something I had seen at Rite Aid:
c.Booth Deep Cleansing Volcanic Mud Mask
While both have clay included, the c. Booth has a lot more ingredients (including a slight minty scent).  It does tighten while it dries, but it not as much as the Origins.  I do like this, but not quite as much as the Origins.

And I stopped at Raisin Rack (my area's answer to Whole Foods) and got this bottle of Organic Argan Oil from Acure brand.  As soon as I put one drop on my hand from the tester at the store, I knew it was coming home with me.

I've used this a few times already, and especially the first night, I feel like my skin said (shouted) "Thank you!!" and I felt like the next morning the oldest hyper-pigmentation mark thingies that I hate looked a lot less pinky-red.  That's probably wishful thinking about an improvement that much over one night, but...that's what I thought.  And after just a few nights, I feel like the pigmented spots under my jaw are looking more pink and less red and dry like they've been for weeks.  I'm hoping that with time, this will really help fade all those nasty pigmented spots, and if it helps with other issues as well then all the better.  I just looked at the Josie Maran Argan Oil on Sephora and the claims are pretty similar.  Yay!

Ok, now with these 2 additions, I think I have everything I should need to get my skin back to looking it's best...I hope.  And hopefully rely less and less on prescriptions that the Mister is convinced don't do a darn thing.  But I do still need to get a new sunscreen for my face pretty soon.  I've already picked out the one I want, so now it's just a matter of time before I see it in stores since it is a new product.

Have you tried Argan Oil?  Any success?  What's your favorite face mask?
