I thought today I would show off a more recent (October) acquisition of mine...China Glaze Immortal and the look I came up with to jazz it up a little. This came out with the Halloween collection for 2012, and as soon as I saw swatches of it online I knew I wanted it. I was also going through a gray phase at that time (must buy all the gray polishes!!). This pretty was kinda hard to track down but I did!
Here is 2 coats of Immortal over my usual Bridge the Ridge base coat. I don't remember if I used top coat or not....probably did.
You can see some of the pink shimmer on my thumb nail
Immortal is a pretty steel gray with superfine shimmer in pink and teal running through that are almost invisible in most situations - the shimmers just give it some more dimension.
Then I free-handed 2 thin coats of Essie Scarlett O'Hara on the tips (and probably added another layer of quick dry top coat)
Looking back at this, probably a pink or teal would have been a better choice to accent the shimmers in Immortal, but I still like the way that the red wine shimmery-glowy Scarlett O'Hara looks
If I remember correctly, this wore for a few days before I got noticeable chips.
Did you pick up Immortal when it was out? What do you think of my combo? Let me know!
