Today I'm going to show my first Zoya polish. I bought Indigo. In the bottle, it's a blackened blue with some holographic-y microglitter to it. Here's a link to Indigo on Zoya's site. Not really sure why Zoya classifies Indigo as a metallic...but it's their polish so.....
Here's what I did:
- American Classics Bridge the Ridge basecoat (testing it out for the first time)
- 2 coats Zoya Indigo
Under lamp light
Natural (soft) light through window
In direct sunlight through window
On my nails, it is really dark - almost black. Unfortunately, the microglitter really hides. That's my only issue with this polish - I wish the pretty microglitters showed up more since that was what drew me to it in the first place.
For the pictures under the lamp light, I did no clean up first--didn't really feel the immediate need. So that means for me, the application was pretty easy and the brush works well. Dry time was very impressive. I'm talking less than 20 minutes until fully set with NO quick dry top coat assistance. Wow.
I have to say I am pretty impressed with the formula on Zoya polishes. I foresee more being added to my way-too-big stash of polishes, especially since I can see them in person and purchase at a discount.
P.S. In a later post, you'll get to see how I made Indigo show up like I was hoping it would straight out of the bottle.
What was your first Zoya? Do you get yours in person or order online?
