Morning Star . . . revisited

Today I have a cute nail look that I came up while I was playing around.  I had put on Sinful Colors Morning Star to do a "My Version of..." post and decided to leave it on when I was done.  But I wanted to add a little something to it.  At first, I was going to put on a light blue glitter top coat...but then another little sparkle caught my eye and I thought, "Why not?"

I present Sinful Colors Morning Star with the pinky-glittery-sparkly goodness of Wet 'n Wild Jewels for Your Highness.

Here's what I did:
  • Pro FX Fiberized Ridge Filler base coat
  • 3 coats of Sinful Colors Morning Star
  • 1 coat Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Fast Dry Top Coat
  • 2 coats of Wet 'n Wild Jewels for Your Highness on ring fingers--I never put topcoat on and it wore well for a few (maybe 3?) days

It was so hard to capture in photos and then hard to decide which ones to use

Isn't it pretty?!  And I don't remember seeing this combination in any blogs that I follow or have stumbled across.  I really wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do.  When I do an accent glitter nail, I normally try to keep it in the same color family...i.e. corals/oranges get coral glitter, pinks get pink glitter, etc.  I am really happy that I tried being different.

Both colors are limited edition from Rite Aid (Wet 'n Wild) and Walgreens (Sinful Colors).

How often do you try something that's new to you and end up loving it?
