Fluttering Candy Shop

Today, I have a cute/sparkly/feminine/girly mani to share with you.  Sinful Colors Flutter #1118 from the Girls in Pearls Sheer Shimmers collection that was released Spring 2012.  It is topped off with Claire's Cosmetics polish in Candy Shop (word on this polish is that it is an exact dupe for Deborah Lippmann Candy Shop that retails for $18 and up) on the ring fingers.  Check out The PolishAholic's swatches of the original here.  Sparkles all around.

Prepare for bunches of pictures (but I did put some of them in collages).  This one photographed so well and I couldn't decide which ones to pick.

  • Pro FX Fiberized Ridge Filler base coat
  • 3 coats Sinful Colors Flutter #1118
  • 1 coat Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Diamond Flash Fast Dry Top Coat

Claire's Candy Shop on ring fingers (brushed on until desired glitter coverage was reached)
2 coats of Pro FX Quick Dry High Gloss Top Coat (after polish was fully dry)

I love how Flutter has it's own pearly-silvery sparkle to it.  It went on fairly well, building to pretty good opacity in 3 coats.  In some lights there is still a tiny bit of nail line visible (but it's not bothering me).

Candy Shop is a pretty glitter topcoat in a pink-tinted base with multiple colors in both small glitters and medium (?) hex glitters.  I'm not sure on size classifications for glitters.  I see silver, gold, blue, pink, red, green, magenta....  It did dry with a rough finish, so I put on 2 coats of top coat (but may have to add more depending on if the roughness comes back before I'm ready to take it off).

What do you think of this mani?  Or if you have Candy Shop, what do you pair it with?
